The Position
The Support Consultant will work closely with the Lead Consultant and in close liaison with the Embassy Alumni Group, in the review and development of a new alumni strategy for Indonesia. The strategy aims to enable Australian whole-of-government engagement with alumni who can provide long-term support for Australian business, trade, development cooperation and promote Australian excellence as a global education provider.
The Support Consultant will work closely with the Lead Consultant and in close liaison with the Embassy Alumni Group, in the review and development of a new alumni strategy for Indonesia. The strategy aims to enable Australian whole-of-government engagement with alumni who can provide long-term support for Australian business, trade, development cooperation and promote Australian excellence as a global education provider.
This key role will support the Lead Consultant to:
- Provide technical advice and input to the Embassy Alumni Group in relation to global best practice on alumni engagement
- Conduct any additional consultations or research required to inform the strategy
- Produce a first draft of the strategy for review by the Embassy Alumni Group by end Sept 2015
- Receive, collate and incorporate all feedback into a final draft of the strategy by end Nov 2015
- Complete any follow up tasks as required including presentations and socialisation of the strategy in December 2015.
The Person
The ideal candidate for this senior consultancy is required to have postgraduate qualifications and experience working with organisations managing large and diverse alumni networks, together with practical knowledge of the Indonesian and/or overseas tertiary sector. Skills in supporting the development of complex strategy documents for a broad stakeholder group and experience in contemporary marketing strategies including social media is essential. A strong knowledge of global best practice in alumni engagement and international development context is highly preferred.
