Landscape / District Coordinator  

CARE is a leading humanitarian organization fighting global poverty that has been working in Indonesia since 1967. CARE seeks qualified candidates for an upcoming USAID-funded climate change adaptation program in Indonesia to strengthen climate and disaster resilience. Successful candidates for the position of Landscape/District Coordinator will have to support/assisting the Provincial Coordinator monitoring the performance and safety of all staff visiting or working in field and to ensure staff compliance with risk management procedures and CARE's Code of Conduct and responsible for ensuring that field operations are well supported.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experienced in manage the DRR/CCA  projects including project quality, M&E and budget management.
  • Lead DRR team quarterly planning meetings to review progress and results, identify gaps and solutions and share technical ideas for the projects.
  • Good knowledge and experienced in support to DRR/CCA Village Facilitators and Program Support staffs with  technical  and management inputs relating to project activity plan.
  • Good knowledge in developing the efficient and effective M&E mechanism and tools for tracking  project indicators and results of DRR/CCA projects.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player who demonstrates leadership and is able to support and train local staff and also able to work with disaster affected communities in a sensitive and participatory manner.
  • Demonstrated good written and oral communication skills. Able to communicate clearly and sensitively with internal and external stakeholders as an agency representative. This includes effective negotiation and representation skills.
  • Works with trustworthiness and integrity and has a clear commitment to core values and humanitarian principles.
  • Ability to operate effectively under extreme circumstances including stress, high security risks and harsh living conditions. Works and lives with a flexible, adaptable and resilient manner.
  • Awareness and sensitivity of self and others: Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to gender and diversity. Have experience and the ability to live and work in diverse cultural contexts in a culturally appropriate manner. Has a capacity to make accurate self-assessment particularly in high stress and high security contexts.
  • Work style: Is well planned and organized even within a fluid working environment and has a capacity for initiative and decision making with competent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge and skills: knowledge of CARE policies, procedures and project standards, Sphere and the Red Cross/ NGO Code of Conduct. Requires general finance, administration, information management and telecommunication skills and proficiency in information technology/ computer skills.
  • Experience in Financial, Administration and Office Management.
