To
contribute to the development of a vibrant dairy sector in Indonesia,
which is centralized in Java Island, SNV Indonesia will have partnership
with private partners to implement some technologies to improve
practice in the core aspect in dairy to increase milk production, milk
quality and safety and green milk for eco friendly practices.
SNV Indonesia, will be active in Malang, Boyolali and Wonosobo districts. In order to achieve the above objective, the SNV is currently seeking a highly qualified national candidate to fill in the position of Project Coordinator for its dairy projects.
Roles and Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities
Under supervision of the Agriculture Advisor / Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will be responsible to:
- Coordinate the implementation of dairy project in Malang, Boyolali and Wonosobo
- Supervise the field officers in the activities implementation
- Implementing for field activities in Malang
- Work supporting the development of the dairy sector in Indonesia
- Support baseline studies, market assessments and value chain analysis of the local dairy economy
- Establish and maintain effective partnerships with farmers, the private sector partner and others
- Lead field research and provide information and data necessary for reporting and steering the project.
- Prepare project progress reports and project references
- Assist in training & workshop for dairy project
- Report directly to the SNV agriculture advisor
- Support SNV’s work more broadly as required
Candidate profile
- Bachelor degree in Animal Husbandry or Agribusiness
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in development projects, preferably in dairy value chain in Indonesia
- Result oriented with an entrepreneurial attitude
- Experience in dealing with private sector
- Some communication skills in English
- Proven experience in report writing and monitoring and evaluation
- Having experience in working with NGO for rural livelihood projects
- Willing to stay in the district
- Willing to travel if needed
- Willing to work with minimum supervision
Duty station: Malang, with travels to project areas.
Contract duration: until November 2015 with the possibility of extension.
