Provincial Road Maintenance specialist
Remuneration will be in compliance with the DFAT (former AusAID) Adviser Remuneration Framework – Level C4
Long term position 12-15 months
We are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified
consultants for the position of Provincial Road Maintenance (PRM)
specialist, who can provide strategic direction and capacity building to
the provincial government to improve planning and management of road
maintenance activities. The PRM Specialist will be responsible for
supervising a team of engineers and working closely with relevant
stakeholders, including the public works and other provincial government
departments.
You will have previous experience working in developing countries and
the ability to communicate with and influence national professionals
and managers.
Additional key competencies include:
- Provide technical input and support development of infrastructure technical standards and norms, technical specifications and quality assurance mechanisms.
- Assist to define and develop specific technical skills and build requisite competencies within the Provincial Government counterparts and the District engineers
- Being a self-starter, as well as a team player
- Committed to sound practices in occupational health and safety
- Understanding of cross-cutting issues including child protection, gender equality and fraud
- Bahasa Indonesia skills are highly desirable
Tertiary qualifications in engineering with specific skills in rural road development are preferred.
