Seeking Request for Pre-Qualification of Research Firms for Future Work
Background:
AIP-PRISMA (Australia-Indonesia Partnership for Promoting Rural Income
through Support for Markets in Agriculture) is a multi-year program that
is part of the Indonesian Government’s long term strategy to encourage
economic growth. Supported by the Australian
Government, the program aims to achieve a 30% increase in the net
incomes of 300,000 male and female farmers in eastern Indonesian by
program end by improving productivity, market access, and innovation.
AIP-PRISMA focuses on major agriculture sectors in East
Java, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, Papua and West Papua, We
promote partnerships and help spur growth among value chain actors by
reducing barriers and constraints within the agriculture sector.
AIP-PRISMA
follows the “Making Markets Work for the Poor” (M4P) approach to
encourage sustainable long-term growth in the economy. The program
responds to opportunities present in a number of agricultural sectors
(for example: corn, shallots, mango, beef, pigs, mung bean, seaweed,
cassava, peanuts) and works with private and public sector partners to
bring about systemic changes in the market system that would allow
greater access to services and inputs by poor farmers.
Request for Pre-qualified Firms:
In order to implement the results management system in an effective way,
AIP-PRISMA will use external research firms to support management in
result measurement activities in several AIP-PRISMA targeted
agricultural sectors. These include an initial baseline
survey, interim assessment, and final end line or impact assessment.
AIP-PRISMA aims to implement and assess 60-80 interventions over the
next four years across five provinces.
AIP-PRISMA is going to the market to find organisations that meet the
necessary qualifications and experience to be part of a pool of firms
that can be called upon by AIP-PRISMA to undertake research work as
required.
Pre-qualification Process
Firms and research institutes who are formally registered with the
government of Indonesia and have at least five years’ experience in
carrying out social-economic assessments of agricultural sectors and in
managing large scale surveys can register to receive
the Pre-Qualification application package.
