The Australia Indonesia Partnership for Promoting Rural Income
through Support for Markets in Agriculture (AIP-PRISMA) is an ambitious
new rural development program which supports agricultural development in Eastern
Indonesia and aims to increase the incomes of 300,000 poor farmers in EJ, NTB,
NTT, Papua and West Papua.

GENDER AND SOCIAL INCLUSION
(GSI) SPECIALIST
Duties:
As a member of the Results Measurement and Learning (RM&L) team,
under the supervision of the Head of RM&L Unit, the Gender and Social
Inclusion Specialist will develop a GSI strategy, will support the Portfolio
Units in mainstreaming GSI within the interventions and will support the
results measure.
Key Selection Criteria:
- An advanced degree (masters) in the field of social sciences, agricultural sciences, economic, food security or a related field of study or an equivalent combination of studies and experience with Gender specialisation;
- 1-2 years’ experience in livelihoods and economic development for women in Indonesia and expertise in gender mainstreaming in Indonesia, preferably in Eastern Indonesia;
- Ability to handle working in an M4P project where things are changing all the time and activities not scheduled far in advance;
- Strong analytical and influencing skills;
- Good interpersonal skills, and ability to work in teams;
- Ability to collaborate and coordinate between different teams to achieve objectives;
- Effective computing skills for training program development needs and reporting; including word processing (MS Word) and spreadsheets (MS Excel)
- Good written and verbal skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Innovative, willingness to learn from mistakes, ‘out-of-the-box’ thinker
- Good interpersonal skills, and ability to work in teams.
- Willingness to travel to different parts of Eastern Indonesia .
