The Global Alliance for
Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is a Swiss based
international organization that mobilizes public-private partnerships and
provides financial and technical support to deliver nutritious foods to those
people most at risk of malnutrition. The organization is
delivering improved nutrition to an estimated 670 million people in more than
30 countries, half of whom are women and children. Nutrition products are
as varied as fortified cooking oil and iodized salt in Indonesia, flour in
Africa, soy sauce in China and biscuits in India, as well as specialized
products for infant and young child nutrition. GAIN is also a pioneer in
developing behaviour change campaigns to improve feeding practices of women and
children under the age of two.
GAIN
Indonesia was registered as an INGO with the
Ministry of External Affairs in 2013 and signed an MOU with the Ministry of
Health in 2014. We work closely with stakeholders in government, academia,
private sector, UN organizations, NGO’s and civil society, some of whom are
grant recipients. We are now seeking proposal from providers of legal
services for the following:
- Advise on organizational and organization secretarial matters relating to post-registration regulatory requirements and the ongoing operations of GAIN in Indonesia, including tax, financial reporting and any other registration and compliance obligations;
- Advise on employment law, statutory requirements and other HR related matters; and
- Review and advise on GAIN Headquarters’ contractual commitments relating to activities occurring in Indonesia or with Indonesian entities as requested from time to time.
- Any other legal advice as may be required.
Firms may submit proposals that quote fees on ad hoc basis
for legal inquiries, or on a flat fee yearly retainer basis for a certain number
of hours. Experience handling INGO clients would be desirable.
Proposals should contain a profile of the firm and must be
submitted latest by 30 January 2015 to GAINIndonesia@gainhealth.org. Please put "LEGAL SERVICES: [Name of Firm]" in the subject line when sending your proposal.
