Provincial Outreach Program Officer
The Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs (CCP),

Johns Hopkins established CCP over 20 years ago in recognition of the
pivotal role communication plays in the way people think and behave
about health and development issues. As a leading international
authority on public health, the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public
Health is dedicated to protecting health and saving lives. The mission
of CCP is to use its core strengths —strategic behavior change,
knowledge management, advocacy, capacity building and research and
evaluation— to achieve these goals. We are currently seeking qualified
candidates for the position of Provincial Outreach Program Officer in 4 provinces, Jakarta, Central Java (Semarang), North Sumatra (Medan), and in South Sulawesi (Makassar).
Project Description: The Rapidly Expand Access to FP in Selected Districts in Indonesia (“My
Choice”) project is a two-and-a-half year project. It is designed to
contribute to the Government of Indonesia’s family planning goal to
increase the nation’s mCPR (modern Contraceptive Prevalence Rate) by
addressing barriers to supply and demand issues and creating a consumer-driven environment where every woman can choose and access the right method given her life stage in
11 selected districts through three components: demand-generation
initiative, facility readiness, and supply chain management. The project will be implemented in partnership with BKKBN at the provincial levels. The
project is in the process of building its team and is looking forward
for a team player and motivated individual to fill this position.
General Position Description: The Provincial Outreach Program Officer will assist
and work in coordination with BKKBN, local partners and other
stakeholders to facilitate training on program planning, advocacy and
implementation. S/he will also have to coordinate with consortium
partners for regular meetings and activities and in developing strategic
advocacy plans and activities in provincial and district levels.
Additionally, s/he will also be coordinating the community outreach
partners to develop workplan, trainings, job aides, monitoring
activities on: data collection, data quality assurance, community
outreach, and do other related duties.
Minimum qualifications:
bachelor degree in relevant discipline, preferably in public health,
social science or communication with a minimum of 7 years relevant
experience with international development programs which includes 5
years of relevant supervisory experience and in a leadership position
for community outreach/mobilization in a similar project.; past
experience working with I/NGOs and donors; must have experience in
health programming or related field and in developing community plans
and strategies, as well as Behavior Change Communication programming and
M&E experience; and, have excellent communication skills, including
fluency in written and spoken English. This position is locally
recruited and the candidate expected to live in the same province of the
working area.
