Report to    : Area Coordinator Yayasan Fondasi Hidup is an independent non-governmental organization based in Medan, North Sumatera and has program operations in North Sumatera Province and Siberut Island, West Sumatera Province.  FH has been working in Indonesia since 2005 and aims to alleviate all forms of poverty through holistic programming and approach.

Currently, FH works in Health, Economic Development/Livelihood, Education and Disaster Risk Reduction as well as addressing cross cutting issues such as Gender Balance and Equity, Good Governance and Environment. Our goal is to walk with families and community leaders to bring sustainable change.

Currently we are seeking a dynamic and committed individual to fill up the position as: 

1.    Health Officer (Health Promoters)

Responsibilities (JD)
  • Liaise with the government, health department, and expertise in related field to facilitate the health program implementation activities. 
  • Introduce the program to the community through socialization and awareness program
  • Implementhealth program issues (POSYANDU, Health Promotion).
  • Conduct a baseline survey among the new members. Facilitate group meetings and monitor beneficiaries.
  • Encourage each member to practice the better ways of Health issues.
  • Write impact stories and collect candid photos using the given format and guidelines.
  • Perform other responsibilities related as requested by Area Coordinator.
Qualifications, experience and competences
Essential:
  • Minimum Bachelor degree from Public Health and Social Science graduate is preferred. 
  • Male/Female.
  • At least  one year of professional experience on health programs and other social issues.
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
  • Good organizational skills and able to deal with a broad range of staff and to respond to their queries.
  • Demonstrate a high level of commitment and responsibility towards completing assignments efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Strong communication skills with people from diverse cultural background and nationalities
  • Pro-active and flexible approach to problem solvingand job responsibilities, and able to work in a team.
  • Good in time management.
  • Willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Able and willing to travel to remote and insecure locations for short periods of time and at short notice.
  • Commitment to FH’s mission and values.
Desirable:
Working knowledge of the local language and prior working experience in the area.

2. Livelihood _Agriculture Officer ( Agriculture Promoters)
Responsibilities (JD)
  • Liaise with the government, agriculture department, and expertise in related field to facilitate the agriculture program implementation activities. 
  • Introduce the program to the community through socialization and awareness program. 
  • Implement agriculture program issues (organic cultivation, horticulture cultivation, cocoa and rubber trees based).
  • Conduct a baseline survey among the new members. Facilitate group meetings and monitor beneficiaries’ business progress regularly.
  • Encourage each member to practice the better ways of farming. 
  • Write impact stories and collect candid photos using the given format and guidelines. 
  • Perform other responsibilities related as requested by Area Coordinator.
Qualifications, experience and competences
Essential:
  • Bachelor Degree (S1) in Agriculture Science. 
  • Male/Female. 
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in related field (organic cultivation, horticulture cultivation, cocoa and rubber trees)and sustainable agriculture issues. Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.
  • Has good willingness to serve farmers community and possess adult-teaching method and knowledge transfer skills. 
  • Honest, self motivated, hardworking, and able to handle work under pressure & tight due date. 
  • Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft  Word programs, excel and presentation.  
  • Pro-active and flexible approach to problem solving and job responsibilities, and able to work in a team.
  • Good in time management.
  • Willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.
