PUBLICATION FOR RESTORING COASTAL
LIVELIHOOD
One person in three in the world lives in poverty. Oxfam
is determined to change that world by mobilising the power of people against
poverty.

innovative ways for people to lift themselves out of poverty and thrive. We
save lives & help rebuild livelihoods when crisis strikes. And we campaign
so that the voices of the poor influence the local and global decisions that
affect them.
In all we
do, Oxfam works with partner organisations and alongside vulnerable women and
men to end the injustice that cause poverty.
Background
The overall goal
of the Restoring Coastal Livelihoods project is to enhance the livelihood
security and well being of vulnerable coastal communities on the west coast of
South Sulawesi. Coastal
Livelihood undertaken with the financial supports of the Government of Canada
provided through the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) for 5
years (2010 – 2015). It will
include ecological mangrove restoration (EMR) and sustainable use of natural
resources. A special focus will be placed on empowering women and securing
their rights which are indispensable to achieving maximum development results.
Coastal Livelihood is in the half of the
fifth or final year of the project, some progress has been made. Some
beneficiaries have been benefited direct and indirect support including capacity building, both in
environment and livelihood development . All the progress as well as best
practices and lesson learned stories and its documentation will be essential to
be produced for sharing and dissemination to public and especially to the beneficiaries and stakeholders as well as
the project documentation for quarter and the End-of project report. Sharing
all the learning with the development community to improve the of the
development work.
All the activities above as the Project Implementation Plan mandate as
the implementation of internal strategies
which mentioned any photos and videos will be shared. And the implementation of external
communications strategies which mentioned sharing to stakeholders and external
audiences to raise understanding, support, and awareness through websites and
other electronic media, newspapers articles, banners, leaflets, photo
documentation. All the media will be
produced in Bahasa Indonesia and English to inform stakeholders and external audiences
on the project implementation, progress, result and the impacts.
This prompted for Coastal Livelihood for create
a comprehensive media production including books, film,
brochures, etc. This process require supporting items such as documentation, reportage, illustration and translation that need expert’s work, thereby this proposal created
as a reference in hire consultants for
photo, video, illustration, and reportage works.

Requirement
:
- Skilled in Photography and mastering D-SLR Camera
- Experienced in Human Interest Photography
- Willing to travel (mobile) in four districts in South Sulawesi
- Ability in interviewing and story writing
- Ability in using video camcorder
WRITER
Requirement
:
- Skilled in narrative writing
- Experienced in journalism activities.
- Understand web content management.
- Willing to travel in four district in South Sulawesi.
- Experienced in developing story for community development project.
- Understanding local context (South Sulawesi) .
ILLUSTRATOR & VISUAL DESIGNER
Requirement :
- High skilled in hand drawing
- Mastering Adobe photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe In Design, Corel Draw
- Experienced in making illustration for story book
- Ability in using DSLR Camera
