#JAKARTA RutgersWPF Indonesia Vacancy: Finance Controller

RutgersWPF Indonesia is working on sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and sexual gender based violence (SGBV). RutgersWPF has a longstanding expertise in this field and manages programs in many countries from its head office in Utrecht, the Netherlands. RutgersWPF Indonesia consists of a dynamic team of 20 staff members. RutgersWPF Indonesia works together with many partner organizations in Indonesia in promoting SRHR and working on prevention of GBV.

Currently RutgersWPF Indonesia is looking for:
Finance Controller (Consultant Position)
The financial Controller consultant will be assigned with the task to ensure the finance team is able to fulfill all tasks timely and that there is no backlog. He/she will work in supportive way with the finance team on a day to day basis and be responsible for keeping track of profit & loss and balances including evidence at the end of every month in order to gain a good picture of the current situation and to be able to develop procedures and put systems and practices in place. The finance controller will make sure the finance department runs smoothly, quickly responding to requests and in compliance with manuals and regulations by the time the assignment is fulfilled. He/she will also ensure budgets are made on time in cooperation and pleasant facilitation with program staff, checking produce periodic financial reports etc.
Tasks and responsibilities:
  • Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems and ensuring compliance with existing standards and regulatory requirements; 
  • Develop and Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained and safeguards forecasting and liquidity;
  • Ensures program budgets and actual expenditures are captured in a budget versus actual (BVA) analysis;
  • Coordinate audit activities;
  • Consistently analyze financial data and reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, financial statements; monitor progress and changes; 
  • Oversee all financial and program accounting; ensures that expenditures are consistently aligned with program budgets;
  • Set up organizational cash flow forecasting by working in partnership with the program managers, to assess the financial efficacy of program operations and establish finance and administrative systems to support program operations; 
  • Ensure all finance systems, manuals and practices are in place and shared with finance staff and program managers;
  • Contributing to decisions regarding financial strategy
Qualifications:
This is an interesting and challenging opportunity for a mature financial controller with seven to ten years of accounting and finance experience in (I)NGO. S/he will ideally have experience in a complex nonprofit organization with multiple programs.
Other qualifications include:
  • Identify strengths of the current finance team members, help to clarify roles and responsibilities and develop and implement a coaching trajectory in order to maximize and reach optimal individual and organizational goals; 
  • Facilitate strengthening of the finance department and promote a positive and supportive work environment and communication with program staff. 
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and unwavering commitment to the assignment; a proactive, hands-on strategic thinker. 
  • Minimum master in finance or accounting 
  • Solid experience in coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, 
  • Keen analytic, organization and problem solving skills which allows for strategic data interpretation versus simple reporting 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and organization sensitivity; experience in effectively communicating key data, within the team, to partner organizations as well as to senior management, 
  • Ability and desire to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels including finance and non-finance managers 
  • Preferable experience with exact accounting system
Duration of the consultancy:
The consultant financial controller is expected to set a realistic timeframe in the inception report. RutgersWPF will assess this proposed timeline bearing in mind a qualified output and high commitment from the consultant is required.
