Chemonics
seeks long-term policy reform and advocacy experts for USAID's
anticipated environmental policy reform and advocacy project in
Indonesia. The project will support the government of Indonesia
on national-level policy reform and advocacy actions for key terrestrial
and marine policy issues.
We are looking for individuals who have a
passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the
world.
Responsibilities include:
- Draft environmental policy reform and analysis
- Design public policy, strategy, and implementation
- Advocate for community-based land use management, biodiversity and forestry conservation, and fisheries management
- Facilitate capacity building, training, and technical assistance for civil society organizations
- Advise, mentor, train, and offer technical services to national and local parliaments as needed
- Lead public communications and outreach for donor-funded environmental programs
Qualifications:
- An advance degree in a relevant field preferred
- Minimum five years of relevant experience
- Extensive knowledge and experience in one or more of the areas outlined above
- Experience implementing donor-funded international development programs
- Experience working for an international donor or organization preferred
- Interest in working with a multicultural, international team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Fluency in English and Indonesian Bahase preferred
