ChildFund has been
working in Indonesia since 1958 and works in partnership with, and provides
capacity building, financial and networking support to more than 18
community-based organizations (CBOs) covering 213 villages in the provinces of
South Sumatera, Lampung, DKI Jakarta, Banten, West Java, Yogyakarta, Central
Java, and East Nusa Tenggara. As a result of this coordinated partnership,
ChildFund Indonesia directly and indirectly supports 380,000 children a
year. In addition to the implementation of core programs, ChildFund
Indonesia has also responded to emergencies in Aceh (tsunami), West Sumatera
(earthquake), Central Java and Yogyakarta (volcanic eruption).

Monitoring and Evaluation at ChildFund Indonesia
ChildFund would like to strengthen
our monitoring
and evaluation system so that
it captures the results of program interventions
and its impact to children and their communities in the field. Therefore, we are looking for a consultant to support the
Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist develop an effective monitoring tool, through undertaking
research, a field visit and
analysis, so that we can generate learning from
existing program initiatives in support of program implementation. In addition, the consultant will also be required to
develop an Monitoring and Evaluation training for our Program Officers so that
they can better link program activities and outputs with
verifiable indicators and development outcomes.
SCOPE
OF WORK
1. 1. Works with the M&E
Specialist to design
an effective monitoring and evaluation system for implemented programs and
projects to clearly link program outputs and activities with verifiable
indicators and ensure that desired outcomes are achieved.
- Plan & manage an M&E capacity building training for the Program Officers in our zonal offices.
DELIVERABLES
- Development of the necessary M&E tools to monitor in the field.
- With the assistance of the M&E Specialist deliver a 5 day training for the Program Officers on the basics of Monitoring and Evaluation and the use of the tools needed to monitor Local Partners activities in the field
PLACE
OF PERFORMANCE
Jakarta, at the office
of ChildFund Indonesia, Jl. Taman Margasatwa No. 26, Block E, Pasar Minggu,
Jakarta Selatan. During the service rendered, the consultant will be required to travel to the field for 3 days to meet with the zonal office
and local partners to assess their monitoring needs in the field. This work will be closely
coordinated with the M&E Specialist.
PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE
Service rendered will require 15
days of work. Consultant is required to be at the office during the work performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum10-year experience in Monitoring and Evaluation
- Must possess an ability to work well under pressure and the ability to seek and synthesize information and communicatein a compelling and succinct form.
- Cross cutting understanding and knowledge of the education system in Indonesia
- High level of English and Bahasa Indonesia both oral and in writing
- Self motivated, details oriented and highly organized
