Our Rural Water and Sanitation (WASH) Program
SNV
began activities in the WASH sector in Indonesia in 2013. In May 2014, SNV
started the Rural Sustainable Sanitation and Hygiene for All programme which will
benefit 220.000 persons living in the rural areas of the Lampung Province
(Tanggamus, Lampung Selatan and Pringsewu districts), by supporting the Local
Government in rolling out the national Sanitasi Total Berbasis Masyarakat (STBM)
programme.
As a start-up, SNV will perform a baseline
assessment for its rural sanitation project and is now seeking a highly
qualified candidate to fill the post of Rural WASH PME (Planning Monitoring and
Evaluation) Assistant.
Position Summary:
The Rural WASH PME Assistant is responsible for ensuring that all stages of baseline assessment (preparation, the
conduct, analysis and reporting) are up to SNV standard. S/he will lead the
baseline assessment-related activities in the field and also in Jakarta. The Rural WASH PME Assistant will work closely with the
PME Officer at the National Office and Rural WASH team in the implementation of
Rural baseline study. S/he will report directly to the WASH Rural Program
Leader.
Responsibilities
- Assist PME Officer and WASH team for the implementation of Rural WASH Baseline that includes:
- Preparation of Rural baseline study
- Data collection co-training and supervision of the data collection process
- Quality control of the data collected (check for incomplete, inaccurate or missing data) to ensure accuracy and completeness of the data
- Provide update about the progress of Rural baseline data collection
- Other supports as required for the baseline assessment
- Work under the guidance of the PME Officer to do data processing (using the pre-determined syntax formulation) and contribute to the report writing
Candidate profile
- Minimum 3 (three) years “working knowledge” and experience in PME, preferable in WASH project
- Experience in conducting quantitative survey/baseline assessment
- Good supervision skills
- Able to operate software statistical programme for analysis (SPSS, EPI INFO)
- Proficient to use Excel (present data in a table/chart)
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams
- Ability to collaborate and coordinate between different teams to achieve objectives
- Good spoken/written English
Duty
station: Jakarta with
travel to the project districts (Pringsewu, Lampung Selatan, Tanggamus) in
Lampung Province to sub-districts and villages of the designated district.
Contract duration: 4 (four) months contract.
