Children currently works in eleven provinces, has staff of
approximately 170 local professionals, and programming in Child
Protection, Education, Health and Nutrition, Disaster Risk Reduction,
and Humanitarian Response. Save the Children in Indonesia is seeking
to fill the following position:
Face to Face Manager
1 position, based in Jakarta Country Office

ROLE PURPOSE:
Face to Face Program Manager
shares responsibility for the direction and coordination of the face to
face program in Indonesia. The Manager is responsible for delivering
against annual acquisition targets (income and donor numbers). The key
responsibilities
of the role are building a successful in-house face to face operation
and managing external F2F suppliers.

Reports to: Senior Manager Fundraising and Marketing
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Strategic Planning, Development & Support
- Develop and implement strategy
- Leverage supporter and market insights to enhance propositions and decision making
- Remain up to date on face to face fundraising strategies worldwide and translate into new initiatives in Indonesia
- Provide the vision and leadership required to maximize the potential of the Face to Face
- Develop and implement strategies to make F2F Fundraiser feel an integrated part of Save the Children
- Take an active role in the wider fundraising strategy, planning and implementation
- Establishing and build strong working relationships with key internal partners
- Develop key external relationships to build understanding of donor and industry trends
- Develop strong relationships with suppliers and agencies as necessary
- Develop and manage the F2F team (In House and working with F2F agency)
- Ensure that expenditure is monitored regularly and variances reported
- Ensure Save the Children is extracting best possible value and effectiveness
- Adjust and refine strategies to ensure Key Performance Indicators are met
- Recruit, manage, training, coaching and ensure the development of F2F team
- Supervise event team to ensure that high standards of venues are consistently confirmed to meet the fundraising program needs.
- Work with appropriate members of the Fundraising and Marketing team to provide other useful reporting such as individual fundraiser performance, demographic analysis etc
- Provide weekly and monthly reporting by the team to the Senior Manager Fundraising and Marketing.
- Represent and promote Save the Children with enthusiasm and professionalism, building and strengthening relationships with key donors, funders and prospects, and the media as appropriate
Staff Management, Mentorship, and Development
- Ensure that all staff understand and are able to perform their role in an emergency
- Manage face to face program; define expectations, provide leadership and technical support as needed, and evaluate direct reports regularly
- Ensure the recruitment, training, and promotion of staff as appropriate and ensure availability of appropriate professional development opportunities for staff
- Manage the performance of all staff in the Human Resources work area through:
- Effective use of the Performance Management System including the establishment of clear, measureable objectives, ongoing feedback, periodic reviews and fair and unbiased evaluations;
- Coaching, mentoring and other developmental opportunities;
- Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance;
- Documentation of performance that is less than satisfactory, with appropriate
- Performance improvements/ work plans
QUALIFICATION
Essential
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in field marketing or face to face sales or fundraising is an advantage, including experience in the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans through a number of planning cycles
- Ability to use numbers to support all fundraising decisions
- Excellent experience of computerized accounts packages, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a complex and diverse workload and to work to tight deadlines
- Ability to build a small, proactive team, motivating staff and working collaboratively with colleagues and providing support and advice as necessary
- Willingness and ability to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams, in the event of emergencies
- A full appreciation of the value of co-operation, both internationally and within a team environment
- Understanding of Save the Children vision and mission and a commitment to its objectives, values and essential standards
- Written and verbal fluency in English and Indonesian
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision
