Be part of a dynamic working environment. We are recruiting Finance and Administrative Officer (under Economic Justice Programme) with a real commitment to gender equality and overcoming poverty. This post will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia for fixed term contract 12 months.

The role:
Finance Support
Under the supervision of the Country Finance & System Manager, the Finance & Administrative Officer will provide support the programme with overall responsibility for managing, implementing financial systems and control.

Oversee the finance operation such as payment process, maintenance cash and bank books, on line accounting returns to Regional centre, production timely management information and verify payment vouchers. Manage security of cash, namely cash forecasting, transfer, provide management with a statement of expenditure against budget on all programmes, including preparing financial report and making assessment for external and internal stakeholders.

Program Support
Assisting Economic Justice in preparing documents and other administrative requirements for grant administration and program management including monitoring schedule of payment, preparing and ensuring complete documents needed for grant processing and payments and checking the budget and financial report from partners. operational finance related to the implementation of the Economic Justice Programme. 


He/she will be responsible for assisting, monitoring and providing management with a statement of expenditure against budget on programme on a regular basis for project planning and delivery; preparing financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders and working with logistics and office admin staff to ensure that vulnerable and fixed assets are treated in adherence to Finance’s minimum standards; to build the capacity of programme staff to be able to perform regular financial monitoring and to communicate with local external contacts, such as the bank and supplier contacts; overall responsible for partner financial system and control, including conducting partner financial assessment and
building capacity of partners to comply with Oxfam standard

The requirement:
  • Education to part qualified level with proven accounting experience with minimum of 2 years working experience with local/Intl. NGO and local partners. 
  • High level of numeracy
  • Computer literacy - good working knowledge of spreadsheets essential and previous experience of working with on line accounting systems required
  • Ability to prioritize own workload, to work independently and to work to deadlines
  • Well developed interpersonal and team skills and proven ability to be flexible in demanding situations
  • Good written & spoken skills - verbal and written – English and Indonesian
  • Evidence of ability to pay attention to detail
