I. ABOUT JUDICIAL REFORM TEAM OFFICE
The Judicial Reform Team Office (JRTO) is a project management
office under the Supreme Court with
the responsibility to manage reform initiatives within the Indonesian Judiciary. The member
of the JRTO consists of young and energetic talents from various professional
and educational backgrounds. While
the judicial reform
is a multi-stakeholders and multi source fund initiatives (stage budget, foreign
assistance, and donor funds),
JRTO shall also act as pivot point of the internal reform
initiatives as well as coordinating reform with other national and
international agencies.

II. DESCRIPTION
The Judicial Reform Team Office (JRTO) is seeking an experienced, hardworker, creative individual
with reform minded spirit to provide technical assistance for the Judicial
Reform Team as well as the managing
the implementation of judicial reform program. The successful candidate will provide high level
advice to the reform management processes as well as
coordinating several reform initiatives. Past exposures to the legal reform initiatives in Indonesia with
familiarity on public sector transformation is required.
The positions will be
financed by international grant managed by the Australia Indonesia Partnership
for Justice (AIPJ).
II. STATEMENT OF WORK / DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY
- Identify and obtain any support and advice required for the management, planning and control of the reform activities;
- Identify and Organize required regular meetings for the project team members to assess work progress, discuss challenges and constraints, and provide guidance and support;
- Coordinate/Liaise all the donor, government agencies and other constituents related with the reform activities;
- Provide required assistance to ensure the successful of reform initiatives;
- Prepare monthly reports as well as donor reports as required.
III. REPORTING
The
Technical Assistant Consultant will report to the Judicial Reform Team Office
Coordinator.
The
Technical Assistant Consultant will contribute to the activity reports that the
JRTO Senior Consultant & Coordinator is required to submit to AIPJ on a
monthly basis.
All
reports must:
- Adhere to the specification under the clause “Liaising and Reporting”;
- Be accurate and not misleading in any respect;
- Accord with directions provided by AIPJ in regard to substance; and
- Include sufficient information to enable AIPJ to effectively monitor and assess: progress of implementation of activities; the achievement of the outcomes of activities; and the performance of the consultant and other members of the JRTO team.
IV. TIMELINE
Full time to 31 December 2015
V. KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum a university degree in the field of law or other disciplines with relevant experiences (i.e. public sector transformation).
- Good communications and interpersonal skills, level headed attitude, and English efficacy.
- Past exposures and networks in development sector i.e. donor or CSO, are preferred.
- Past exposure in legal reform and public transformation is an advantage.
VI. COMPETENCE
Ability to build and
sustain effective partnerships with Government Agencies and main constituents,
advocate effectively, communicate sensitively across different constituencies.
