National Programme Officer (NPO) for a Technical Assistance Programme

“Increasing trade capacities of selected value chains within the fisheries sector in Indonesia”

The SECO funded, UNIDO executed programme seeks to appoint a National Programme Officer (NPO) to support its implementation and coordination in Indonesia. This Programme aims at strengthening the trade capacity of selected value chains of the Indonesian fisheries export sector, while ensuring the preservation of biodiversity through promoting the sustainable use of maritime resources. The main duties for this position include the following:

Programme Coordination, Implementation, Reporting and Promotion
  • Monitor the main technical activities of the entire Programme, coordinate and follow up all administrative issues related to its implementation. 
  • Provide technical inputs associated with planned interventions aimed at strengthening the trade capacities along the value chains in the fisheries sector. 
  • Carry out assigned field activities in the context of the six technical components and provide technical inputs to the designated beneficiaries. 
  • Carry out impact monitoring and evaluation activities in the field to assess the progress of the Programme.
Minimum Qualifications
  • University degree in natural sciences, fisheries, economy or business administration.
  • At least 5 years of progressive professional experience related to fisheries and fisheries products. Work experience gained in sustainability standards, compliance issues, fish marketing, value chain analysis and value-added production desirable. UN project implementation experience would be an asset.
Languages: Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
