Our Water and Sanitation (WASH) Program
SNV has a rural sanitation program in Lampung Province and a small town sanitation program in Lampung and West Sumatera provinces. In rural areas, SNV supports provincial and district governments to implement community led total sanitation (STBM). This includes creating demand for sanitation in communities and developing sanitation supply chains and financing to meet this need. This approach not only provides access to sanitation but also creates local jobs. In addition, SNV supports hygiene campaigns and governance.

In small towns, we align with the national program for accelerating sanitation in human settlements (PPSP) and support district governments on:
  • Town wide service delivery, regulations and planning and solutions for treatment, disposal and re-use
  • Sanitation demand creation and hygiene behaviour change
  • Sanitation services and business development.
To support the program, SNV is currently seeking a highly qualified national candidate to fill in the position of Program Assistant to be based in our Jakarta Office.

Detailed responsibilities are below:
 
Responsibilities:

Financial Administration support:
  1. Record financial transactions in program ledger system.
  2. Prepare and check monthly, quarterly and annual financial accounts, forecasts and project depletion for the program and submit to Finance officer.
  3. Follow up on program related receipts and payments, reconcile bank balances and manage liquidity levels of the program, based on guidelines of the Finance Officer and financial procedures.
  4. Support the recruitment and contracting of consultants
General Support:
  1. Prepare meeting agendas.
  2. Arrange meetings and appointments.
  3. Receive and answer phone calls and emails.
  4. Draft correspondence.
  5. Signal bottlenecks in planning and suggest solutions based on requests of team and agreed general support routines.
Logistic Services:
  1. Coordinate with Management and Logistics Assistant to make travel arrangement for program members and travel delegations.
  2. Manage car utilization of project vehicle/s
  3. Coordinate with Management and Logistics Assistant to arrange procurement for the program and other activities, based on SNV guidelines and the approval of the Program Manager.
Monitoring and Evaluation/Databases/Filing:
  1. Support the project manager in updating monitoring and evaluation data in oine with SNV and donor requirements
  2. Process mutation forms, ensure time writing database is updated and record relevant data in databases as requested.
  3. Proper filing of documents both hardcopies and softcopies.
Candidate profile
  • University degree in accounting or finance or management
  • Minimum 5 (five) years of related experiences preferably in an International NGO/s
  • Good skills in project monitoring and evaluation, finance and administration with a positive hands on attitude
  • Good analytical skills and numerical skills and quality orientated
  • Ability to work independently and with the team
  • Knowledge and interest in sanitation and hygiene is an advantage
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to liaise with donors, partners and government officials
  • Good organizing skills and interpersonal skills with a mature attitude
Duty station: Jakarta with regular travel to other areas of Indonesia

Contract duration: 1 year contract with the possibility of extension.

Desired start date: As soon as possible.
