IT SHOWS Vacancy: USAID / Indonesia - Information Technology, Jakarta

The Information Technology Specialist will be responsible for the analytical, technical, and administrative work in the planning, design, and installation and maintenance of new and existing personal computer systems, workstations, and/or servers. The IT Specialist will report to the Project Director and the Senior Administrative Officer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installs new hardware and software and maintains existing components.
  • Manage assigned user account administration and file rights management.
  • Develop information security and/or assurance policies, principles, and practices for multiple units.
  • Trains end users in the use of equipment and software.
  • Performs general maintenance tasks; troubleshoots and resolves day to day operational issues.
  • Prepares progress reports for all work performed.
  • Evaluates products for compatibility, expandability, and ease of use and support; recommends to management the support or nonsupport of evaluated products.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors’ degree or the equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience with operating system and application software, personal computers, LANS (local area networks), WANS (wide area networks), servers, laptops, LCD projectors, printers, routers, switches, hubs, and standard office equipment.
  • Knowledge of network and computer security practices.
  • Practices and procedures of repairing microcomputers, computer networks, peripheral devices, cabling, and telecommunications equipment.
  • Capabilities, limitations, characteristics, and uses of computer and records information systems ƒ
  • Fluency in English, both written and oral; Fluency in Bahasa Indonesian preferred
