Three years project for promoting access to clean water and sanitation for poor urban community is a new project established in East Java.  The project requires finance assistant to support the field office.

Under supervision of office manager, the finance assistant will ensure that finance support to field project activities executed timely, efficient, accountable implementation, timely response to external or internal audits and other reviews are effective.

Specifically this person will be expected to:
  • Enforce Jakarta Home Office policy of zero tolerance on bribery and corruption, and ensure due diligence is followed by project staffs.
  • Provide project financial reports to Jakarta Home Office.
  • Manage cash flow, preparation of monthly cash forecasts.
  • Finalize and ensure compliance with project operations manual and administrative, procurement, employment and contracting processes.
  • Ensure financial monitoring systems provide timely and relevant reports to support efficient, accountable implementation.
  • Ensure effective internal controls, timely response to external or internal audits and other reviews, and appropriate coordination with the Jakarta Home Office.
  • Ensure that adequate risk assessment are taken and the subsequent implementation of appropriate prevention and mitigation measures.
  • Supervise field staff and community finance and ensure accuracy and quality of all reports produced by field staffs.
 Selection criterias:
The successful applicants will have demonstrates:
  • University degree in accounting, with finance, business administration options or equivalent.
  • Be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with accounting and non-accounting professionals.
  • Trustworthiness, integrity, good analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Experience with increasing levels of responsibility with reputable accounting firm, NGO, company or donor agency is an advantage.
