The
International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies will
recruit, on behalf of the Netherlands Red Cross Representation in
Indonesia as soon as possible a
Senior Liaison and Reporting Officer
The
Netherlands Red Cross is the lead agent of a consortium of five Dutch
humanitarian organizations (Cordaid, Wetlands, NRCS Climate Center, Care
and Netherlands Red Cross) working together as “Partners for Resilience
(PfR)” in a unique project to increase the resilience of communities
towards disasters, adapt themselves better to climate change and
facilitate Ecosystem Restore Management. The PfR partners work in 38
communities in Nusa Tenggara Timur Province. An important aspect of the
program is to monitor the progress of this special way
of working and to enable learning from each other during and after the
intervention.
While
each of the organizations measures its own progress and organizes
linking and learning activities with other partners and communities, the
overall results of the work of the PfR needs to be consolidated,
information exchanged, joint advocacy activities recorded and good
results documented.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure the progress of monitoring on the agreed indicators and follow up issues on the collection of data for reporting and planning. Advise on the harmonization and quality of the utilization of the indicators.
- Participate in coordination meetings in the field and contribute to the exchange of information.
- Visits the field offices of the partners for collecting lesson learned and success stories.
- Facilitate partners in joint activities (bilateral/multilateral), including advocacy efforts.
- Maintain a database with joint PfR documents which can be used or made ready for publication. Arrange translation into Bahasa Indonesia or English when required.
- Maintain good relations with PfR partners and other stakeholders.
- Prepare timely and good quality reporting to NLRC.
An experienced officer is required to take the
responsibilities for this task. The person should fulfill the following qualifications:
- A university degree in Social Science or relevant discipline.
- Minimal 5 year experience in M&E and/or planning and program management.
- Relevant experience and knowledge of DRR, CCA, EMR, Health and WatSan.
- Proven reporting qualities in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Able to work independently within a team spirit.
The
office for the position is located in Maumere, but frequent travelling
will be required. The remuneration follows the scales of the IFRC.
