Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a German international cooperation enterprise for
sustainable development with worldwide operations.
Due to a delay of institutional implementation the
Biodiversity and Climate Change Project (BIOCLIME) of the Indonesian Ministry
of Forestry, supported by the German International Cooperation (GIZ) on behalf
of the German Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and
Nuclear Safety (BMUB) seeks again qualified Indonesian experts for the
following positions:
Senior Advisor on
Community Based Forest Management and Agro-forestry
Based in Palembang,
South Sumatra
Responsibilities:
- Advise to public forest administration at province and district level and support of communities to develop and implement CBFM and agro-forestry concepts.
- Support of communities in identifying and developing new, innovative products and other alternative income generating activities and to plan, organize and manage their forest resources.
- Network development on marketing, financial support and Capacity Building.
- Team oriented identification and development of Capacity Building measures for communities and the public administration.
Qualification:
- Masters/MSc in the fields of social science, sociology or forest management
- Minimum of 10 years professional working experience at the community level.
- Experience in:
- participatory natural resource management, especially in planning and implementation of forest/agro-forest management.
- identifying income increasing/generating measures,
- cooperation with the local public institutions, NGOs and communities.
- implementation of ‘Village Forest’ –Systems.
- Good written and spoken English skills
Duration of the contract: June 2014 – Nov. 2016
