Cocoa Sustainability Partnership (CSP) Vacancy: Information Management and Reporting Officer, Makassar

We are looking for an
Information Management and Reporting Officer

Cocoa Sustainability Partnership (CSP) is a public-private forum for the advancement of communication and working together between stakeholders actively engaged in cocoa development initiatives in Indonesia. CSP exists to increase communication, coordination and collaboration between public and private stakeholders engaged in cocoa sustainability activities in Indonesia for the mutual benefit of all cocoa sector stakeholders. Members of CSP include the Government of Indonesia (GoI), national and multi-national companies, national and international NGOs, donors, research agencies, certification labels and academics working together towards sustainability of Indonesian cocoa sector. The day to day management of the forum is run by CSP secretariat, based in Makassar.

CSP Secretariat is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the post of Information Management and Reporting Officer. This is a full time post and will be based in Makassar.

Purpose of the Position:
  • To produce periodic reports on cocoa sustainability programs in Indonesia. This includes information or data on changes in production and productivity as a result of CSP members’ programs and projects covering, amongst others, farmers’ cultivation practices, farm management approaches, and access to finance initiatives.

Program Manager

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and operationalize an information database system
  • Working with CSP members: 
    • Develop a data/information collection plan/framework
    • Define/set key performance indicators (KPI) based on members cocoa sustainability activities.
    • Collect data/information using the established framework and liaise with members to ensure data input to the data collection system
  • Produce qualitative and quantitative narrative reports based on the collected data and information.
  • Collect other related data/information regarding cocoa sector development and transform them into a more usable format that can be used by CSP members or other stakeholders; 
  • Perform any other duties to support CSP activities, as requested.
Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in one of the following fields: agriculture, rural development studies, or economics, demographics and/or statistics.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in data analysis, and data management, ideally. Experience working in agriculture or cocoa sector is an advantage.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Access, SQL, and statistical software such as SPSS, CS Pro; SAS, Stata, R.
  • Proven knowledge in Monitoring & Evaluation systems (design/KPIs, implementation, evaluation tools, methods and techniques), is an advantage;
  • Strong analytical thinking and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a public-private partnership setting. 
  • Ability to write and produce reports in English and Bahasa Indonesia;
