Deputy Head of Operations
AIP-PRISMA,
Surabaya based, duration: 3 months (with option to extend)
Background:
The
Australia Indonesia Partnership for Promoting Rural Income through Support for
Markets in Agriculture (AIP-PRISMA) is an ambitious new rural development
program which aims to contribute to a 30%, or more, increase in net incomes for
1,000,000 poor rural female and male farmers, 300,000 of which will be reached
by June 2017.
The role:
Lead
the administration and personnel teams on PRISMA. In doing so, the Deputy Head
of Operations will be responsible for all day-to-day HR and administrative
management for PRISMA, working with the program management team, the Head of
Operations and Finance and the GRM Project Manager to ensure effective planning,
coordination, control and delivery of the assigned tasks. The Deputy Head of
Operations reports directly to the Deputy Team Leader.
Selection criteria:
The
successful applicants will be able to demonstrate:
- At least 5 years' experience in a senior management position, preferably in international development. Experience in management of complex development programmes preferable, but not essential.
- Successful track-record in deliver of complex programmes/projects and development of institutional capacity.
- Experience with working with AusAID or a similar donor agency an advantage.
- Excellent leadership, management and organisational skills.
- Strong representation and communication skills.
- Results orientated, an empowering manager and team player.
- Relevant bachelor's degree required, master's degree or above preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesian (preferred).
- Knowledge of Indonesian public sector and experience working with government agencies (preferred).
- Experience working on Rural Development or Agricultural projects or initiatives (preferred)
