SCI seeks Project Assistant - LINK2 & BLEND3 Project, Bener Meriah

Since 1919, we have been fighting for children's rights, saving their lives and providing hope for brighter futures worldwide.  In Indonesia, Save the Children currently works in eleven provinces, has staff of approximately 150 local professionals, and programming in Child Protection, Education, Health and Nutrition, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Humanitarian Response.  Save the Children in Indonesia is seeking to fill the following position:

Project Assistant LINK 2 & BLEND 3 Project
1 position, based in Bener Meriah
Code : PA-LINK2BLEND3

Project Assistant  will  work under supervision of Project Officer LINK2 & BLEND3 Project and contribute to effectiveness and efficiency of the implementation of LINK2 & BLEND 3 Project meet target achievements. S/he will be involved in the programmatic implementation and monitoring of all project activities and the development of the project work plan. S/he will work with LINK2 & BLEND3 Project Officer to ensure that all activities are implemented based on outcomes assessed. 

Reports to: Project Officer LINK2 & Project Officer BLEND3

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Research, Planning and Reporting
  • Assist the Project Officer in establishing the LINK2 & BLEND3 project detail implementation plan.
  • Prepare field visit report, challenges, input or comments from Communities area.
  • Assist Project officer and other staff to develop an effective monitoring, evaluation and reporting system (including documenting activities) to ensure the effectiveness of project implementation.  This will include facilitating the baseline and end line project. 
  • Assist the Project Officer in preparing monthly report.
  • Ensure that there is close coordination with other Save the Children projects in Bener Meriah district.
Collaboration With Stakeholdres
  • Assist Project Officer to ensure close collaboration with local stakeholders including establishing and developing strong and effective relationships with key district government officials and non-governmental stakeholders. 
  • Support the Project Officer in conducting training, workshop or campaign/promotion activities to the communities, Local Government & other stakeholdres
  • Support the local community groups to succed the program implementation.
Awareness raising, government engagement and advocacy
  • Together with other team members, implement awareness raising campaign related to project activities
Other Functions
  •  Participate in the situational / needs assessments required for the development and implementation of future programs in other sub district target area.
  • Participate in training events as facilitator / trainer
  • Perform any other related duties that may be assigned by Project Officer
QUALIFICATION
  • Bachelors University Degree in Public Health, Agriculture or other relevant.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Community Mobilization or project assistant
  • Able to speak and write report in English.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have good facilitation in community, relationship contact of local language
  • Preferable those who are able to communicate in local language 
  • Computer literate (MS Office, powerpoint, Excell are is a mandatory) 
  • Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural team 
  • Ability to travel and work under pressure; 
  • Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children's aims, values and principles
