1. M&E Officer - COFFEE
The
M&E Officer will be responsible for the Monitoring and Evaluation
activities of the COFFEE project. At the beginning of the project
s/he will be involved alongside the Project Officers for Micro Finance and
Financial Literacy in assessments to gain deeper understanding of conditions,
capacity levels, perceptions and needs of the target population and the within
the target coffee cooperatives. S/he will develop an M&E plan based on the
project proposal’s objectives and outputs. S/he will then be involved in
monitoring of activities and outputs of the project in close collaboration with
the other Project Officers and the Project Coordinator.
An important part of his/her work
will consist of making the link between financial services and increased
productivity and quality of coffee produced. For this exercise the M&E
Officer will also make use of records of the previous CHILI project and study
cases of beneficiaries from that time and on into the current period. Another
task will involve monitoring and analyzing trends of partner cooperatives
depositors and borrowers. The M&E Officer will assist the team with
compiling results and findings so that these can be used for management
decisions, for reports, and for learning. Lastly, the M&E Officer will
assist with the development of the follow-on program in collaboration with the
proposal development team.
This position will be hired as
temporary staff.
Qualifications:
·
Bachelor degree in statistics,
social sciences, international development or related field;
·
2+ years’ experience in M&E,
preferably with international relief or development organization;
·
2+ years of field-based community
development experience;
·
Expertise and skills in
development and implementation of M&E plans, assessments, baseline and end
line surveys, evaluations, using quantitative and qualitative methods;
·
Expertise and skills in analysis
of collected data and compiling findings in clear and structured reports;
·
Strong verbal and written communication
skills, including listening skills;
·
Able to work and communicate in
English;
·
Proficiency in Microsoft Word,
Excel and other computer programs is required.
