The International Federation-Indonesia Delegation is looking for candidate to be based in Jakarta, Indonesia for the post of :
Senior Program Logistics Officer
(12 Months Fixed Term contract)
 
Responsibilities and key tasks:
 
  1. Provide advice and technical logistics and fleet support to PMI including conducting field trips for assessment, project planning or follow-up on project implementation.
  2. Identify and recommend measures and mechanisms (plans, SOPs, etc) addressing present and emerging issues in Logistics at PMI.
  3. Track progress made in addressing issues affecting the reliability, efficiency and effectiveness of the plans.
  4. To document existing excellent practices in logistics capacity building and also lessons learned case studies that enable National Societies to learn from inspiring practices across the wider National Society network.
  5. Working with PMI GAB to regularly review their Disaster Preparedness (DP) Stock stocking and replenishment strategy through procurement in compliance with PMI procurement implementation & operational guideline, through managing a local framework agreement and other relevant strategy.
  6. Increase and improve the National Societies capacity to manage its increasing logistical warehousing and supply chain needs.
  7. Assist the PMI Fleet Manager (FM) in delivering his duties & responsibilities.
  8. Provide support to PMI Fleet Manager in the implementation of Fleet Technical Guidelines which include but not limited to analysing, harmonizing and enforcing the Guidelines.
  9. Liaise with international, governmental and non-governmental organizations such as UN agencies (specially clusters), NGOs, donors, bilateral and multilateral organizations and collaborate where appropriate.
  10. Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely reports in accordance with Federation guidelines.
  11. Delegated management responsibility and accountability, reporting and budget tracking for disaster response activities supported by the IFRC.
  12. Build and maintain knowledge and understanding of the in-country logistics development activities of the components of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
 
Qualification & Experience :
 
·         University degree.
·         Experience of working for the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
·         Experience of writing narrative and financial report.
·         Experience of large scale fleet management procedures and techniques.
·         Experience of strategic planning and analysis.
·         Knowledge of disaster management and humanitarian development.
·         Understanding and skills in relation to facilitating institutional development and organizational change.
·         Understanding of opportunities and constraints for Operational fleet and logistics management.
·         Strong sense of responsibility and control.
·         Skills in computer, software systems (windows, spread sheet, word processing, e-mail, internet).
·         Presentation skills in English and Bahasa Indonesian.
·         Excellent English skills written and verbal.
