e-MITRA is looking for a:
Program Manager
The Global Broadband and
Innovations Program (GBI) is an alliance between the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and NetHope dedicated to advancing the deployment and use of broadband communications networks, including enhanced mobile networks. GBI
works to leverage the extension of such networks for delivery of
network-enabled support across USAID’s development portfolio, including Mobile
Financial Services (MFS). As part of GBI’s work, NetHope has been selected to
staff and manage the Mobile Money implementation Unit project called e-MITRA,
in Indonesia to help support further development of a robust MFS ecosystem. The
program is designed to assist in the development of strategies that lead to the
growth and scale of MFS platforms in Indonesia, provide concrete tools to
create MFS strategies and, ultimately, help drive momentum for private sector
offerings of economically viable MFS products. e-MITRA implements work streams
in technical assistance, advisory services, partnership brokering, market
research and market awareness (e.g. workshops, social media, etc.)
e-MITRA
is looking for a full-time Program Manager to help with the management of
activities and coordination between key stakeholders of the project. The
position to be based in Jakarta is available immediately.
Position Summary: The full-time Program Manager is responsible for interfacing and managing time between with e-MITRA partners, developing and implementing e-MITRA research and grants, networking and improving the project's position in the Indonesian MFS sector, monitoring progress of project activities, communicating and updating the e-MITRA team on progress, among other activities.

Essential Program Manager Functions: Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
· Facilitate multi-stakeholder partnerships for mobile financial service deployments that promote awareness, acceptance, and usage.
· Provide technical assistance in mobile financial services to private sector partners
· Provide technical assistance to potential user of mobile financial service, including financial capacity building and awareness
· Develop Scope of work ( SOWs )and Request of Proposal ( RFPs) for needed research on mobile financial services
· Commission research and ensure quality of finished products
· Manage and monitor mobile financial service deployments, ensuring e-MITRA receives metrics needed to feed into program Key Project Indicator ( KPIs.)
· Interface with TNP2K to inform the Bank of Indonesia on market developments and structure enabling regulatory policy
· Display a wide understanding of the financial sector, MNO sector, and mobile financial services sector
· Organize and develop content for capacity building workshops
· Develop content for all reporting requirements of the e-MITRA program
· Provide support to the eMITRA team in terms of strategic approach and tactical initiatives to meet the overall program objectives

Education: Bachelor of Arts degree (Masters preferred) in one of the following or related fields: International Development, International Relations, Business, Economics, Information Communication Technology or equivalent job-related combination of education and work experience.
Experience: 5 or more years of relevant experience required.
Specific Knowledge Requirements:
Knowledge of mobile technology and other communications technologies preferred.
Five (5) years relevant work experience in a position that regularly required the applicant to write for an external audience (5 samples of work required).
Experience in working with financial sector (specific work with the productive poor market segment preferred)
Special Requirements: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Skills: Superior organizational skills and acute attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate effectively to all levels of the partner’s organizational structure
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a succinct, clear and persuasive manner.
Ability to learn and apply new skills, knowledge and information easily with routine training.
Ability to speak and write effectively in Bahasa Indonesia and English
Ability to work in a small office, telecommute and interface with a global team based in Jakarta and the U.S.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member, prioritize and competently manage a variety of activities with multiple deadlines; motivation and willingness to take initiative and full responsibility for selected activities.
Travel and Geography: The program will be based in Jakarta, with domestic travel very likely
