Booz | Allen | Hamilton looking for Senior Financial Analyst

their most important and complex problems. We are hiring a part-time
Senior Financial Analyst to support the Green Prosperity Project (GPP) Facility,
funded by the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) to reduce poverty and
promote economic growth in Indonesia.
The Senior Financial Analyst will oversee the financial forecasting, reporting, and
analytics to assess creditworthiness of renewable energy and natural resource projects.
He or she will serve as subject matter expert to ensure a rigorous underwriting
and project recommendation process.
Background
To increase incomes of Indonesia’s
poor in targeted districts, and to improve energy access and affordability in
rural areas, the MCC-funded $332.5 million GPP will provide commercial and
grant financing to help mobilize private sector investment in renewable energy
and sustainable land use. GPP investments will support mutually-reinforcing,
community-based objectives that promote sustainable energy use, and protect
watersheds and other renewable resources from which energy can be derived.
Qualifications
The Senior Financial
Analyst position requires advanced expertise in making financial decisions by assessing
financial plans, forecasts, and reports.
This includes expertise in personnel management, accounting, cash flow forecasting,
project finance for renewable energy projects, statistical analysis, process
improvement, and financial planning and strategy.
Typical work
activities may include:
a. Helping to stand up a new credit
facility and underwriting criteria for renewable energy projects;
b. Providing oversight to junior analysts
performing renewable energy and natural resource project cash flow modeling, credit
analysis, underwriting, and valuation. A special emphasis will be placed on subject
matter expertise to ensure quality inputs for cash flow models;
c. Training teams to use return-on-investment,
breakeven investment analysis, discounted cash flows, and related performance
and valuation techniques;
d. Managing a $100M+ book of business to
promote private sector investment in renewables;
e. Improving a project’s financial status
by analyzing results and variances, identifying trends, and recommending action;
f. Overseeing recommendation decision
reports to the MCC grant and lending facility.
Desired Skills & Experience:
a. Extensive
experience in credit analysis, underwriting, and/or valuation with a major
financial institution for renewable energy and/or natural resources projects, including hydropower, geothermal, and solar projects
b. Track
record of sourcing energy deals from developers, utilities, and government;
c. Proven
experience in facilitating dialogue between energy industry, the financial
sector, and government stakeholders;
d. Advanced
working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suit;
e. Demonstrated leadership ability and experience
f. Ability to grasp and communicate complex ideas clearly
g. Exceptional problem-solving skills
h. Strong
personal drive and motivation
Years: 15+ years of professional
experience with a distinctive record of
achievement and impact
Education: Minimum BS or equivalent. Advanced degree or MBA is preferred, and a
PhD is desirable. Academic degree should
be related to finance and/or accounting.
Professional
Registrations: Professional certification
related to financial analysis is required.
Language: Fluency in Bahasa and English
required.
