Save the Children Vacancy: Admin Logistic Assistant, Bandung

Save the Children is a leading, private child-focused non-governmental alliance of 29 member organizations that works in 120 countries throughout the world.  Save the Children has worked in Indonesia since 1976 to promote health and nutrition, education, child protection, livelihoods, and emergency preparedness and response. Currently Save the Children implements six projects in Bandung, West Java.

Now, we are looking for a position of :
Admin Logistic Assistant – West Java, to be based in Bandung, 1 position
code : ALA-WJ

Accountable to the Admin and Logistic Officer for the provision of effective logistic services which include asset management, billing payment, fleet management and procurement in both emergencies and development programming contexts. 

Report to : Admin and Logistic Officer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Administration
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment for vendors, service providers including utilities payment for the office and guest houses.
  • Assist in ensuring maintenance of office and asset to comply with safety and health regulation
  • Ensure adequate vehicle insurance coverage and timely registration and permit
     
  • Logistic
  • Assist in ensuring that all procurement for both goods and services is done in an appropriate, efficiently, timely and transparent manner as per Save the Children International Policies and procedures and internal audit requirements.
  • Assist in updating asset management, vendor lists and warehouse stocks.
  • Assist in the fleet management to ensure cost effective and compliant with SCI standards
  • Ensure well stocked office supplies.
QUALIFICATION & SKILL
  • Minimum diploma degree or equivalent
  • Recommended a minimum of 1 year of experience in a corporate or an NGO environment
  • Ability to plan and organise a substantial workload that includes complex, diverse tasks and responsibilities in both development and emergency contexts
  • Willingness and ability to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams, in the event of emergencies
  • Demonstrated credibility with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels of an organization
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Team building skills
  • Competent level skills in core IT applications, particularly MS Office
  • A commitment to the values and principles of SC
  • Experience of exposure to developing countries
  • High level of commitment to the principles of development and to the organizational and programmatic goals of  Save the Children
