Save
the Children is an international non-profit organization that focuses
on the fulfillment of children’s right. Save the Children was first
established in May 1919 in the U.K. and
to date has 28 Save the Children Offices and operations in more than
120 countries worldwide. In 1976, Save the Children signed an MoU with
the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, followed
then by the operations of Save the Children throughout
Indonesia. Currently, Save the Children work in 11 provinces with a
variety of program areas, such as: Education, Health and Sanitation,
Livelihood, Child Protection also Disaster Risk Reduction.
2014
is year of initial fully implementation of the Signature Program with
support
from SCUK through CP Breakthrough Investment Fund (BSIF). Our
Signature Programme will work to ensure children in Indonesia are no
longer placed in institutions, but are supported within their families
and communities first, providing them with the care,
support and development opportunities for a brighter future. The
programme embodies Save the Children’s full Theory of Change; it has
been designed to demonstrate how the legal and policy changes at a
national level can be implemented and replicated by the
government across the country. We believe change happens when we
innovate, collect and share evidence of what works, advocate for policy
change, give voice to the most vulnerable as agents of change, and work
in partnership with others.
There
are three components under the Signature Program as follow: 1)
preventing institutionalization, 2) direct response and 3) legal and
policy change. The
Project Assistance is needs to be created to support Project team in
delivery such large and complicated works on the Signature Program. The
Project Assistance will assist FBC Manager and other the Signature
Program team members in preparing document and communication
on administration affairs, logistic, transportation and financial.

PROJECT ASSISTANT -
Child Protection Family Based Care, to be based in Bandung, 1 position
CODE : PA-CP
Reports to: Family Based Care Manager
Dimensions: The position of Project Assistant is to assist all CP FBC team in preparing
administrative, logistic, procurement and finance matters for the Signature Program activities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management:
-
Develop detail action plan required based on TOR of activities
-
Prepare paper documents for activities that will be run.
-
Follow the logistic, procurement and finance procedures for activities that will be held.
-
Inform people that will be inviting or participating in project activities.
-
Search vendors for the first time to check availability to support the project accordance TOR.
-
Ensure that paper
documents for everyone who are working with project such as consultants,
researchers, or trainers are collected and verified.
-
Assist CP FBC team in implementing activities.
-
Maintain good
relationship with government, other stakeholders, community and target
beneficiaries in other to make project activities rum well and smoothly.
Financial Management
-
Assist team in coordinate with the Finance and Logistic unit in Bandung office to produce accurate and timely financial reports.

In coordination with all CP FBC project team, handle related administration and financial report.

Assist team in planning, preparation and distribution logistic in relation to training and other
QUALIFICATION
-
Diploma 3 or equivalent in a relevant field
-
Experience in health programs or campaigns,
working for and with the government of Indonesia at the national,
provincial and district levels, community level, and working with an
international
NGO environment will be an advantage
-
Strong communication skills both verbal and written in English and Bahasa Indonesia
-
Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural team environment
-
Knowledge of children’s issues in Indonesian context
-
Experience in using online communications such as social media and websites for communication and outreach purposes
-
Ability to work with minimum supervision
-
Computer literate
-
Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles including rights-based approaches
