- To provide specialist care and support for orphaned and abandoned children through the SOS Children’s Villages.
- To support children, young persons and families in need through the establishment of social centers, schools and vocational training centers.
- To advocate and promote the rights of children throughout the world.
- To work with international organizations, and promote world-wide understanding and exchange of knowledge on child care issues.
- To serve as a model of long-term family based care.

POSITION PURPOSE
The Fund Development & Communications Director :
- Responsible for raising resources from Individuals and Corporations, for SOS Children Villages Programme in Indonesia, as per the agreed targets.
- Responsible for external communications of SOS Children Villages Programme in Indonesia to Indonesia general public
- Help the National Director and Director- Fund Development & Communications (Asia) in developing fund development and communication strategy, its implementation and reporting.
JOB PROFILE
- Responsible for raising funds as per the agreed targets, both from individuals and corporations.
- Contributes to the development, implementation and reporting of fund development and communication strategy and annual plans for the country.
- Responsible for external communication to general public including handle media and PR functions.
- Oversee and ensure end to end servicing of the national and international donors and sponsors and corporate donors.
- Anchor marketing understanding in the organization by creating a positive mindset in the field for the support of FR activities and building brand SOS.
- Coach and monitor performance of subordinates and coordinate with HR for opportunities for development and growth to ensure increased fund raising from Indonesia.
- Helps in selection and management of external agencies that provide services like designing, letter shopping, mail handling, telemarketing, database vending, New Media marketing, face to face fundraising, marketing research etc.
- Any other assignment as entrusted by the supervisor
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum desired qualification is Bachelors in Business Administration or a graduate with Diploma in business administration/marketing/communications. Masters in Business Administration will be an added advantage
- Should have minimum experience of 10 years or more in fund development for the non-profit organisations. Exposure to the use of Direct Mail, Tele-marketing, New Media marketing etc. will be a distinct advantage.
- People with business development experience in the corporate sector or in commercial direct marketing may also apply.
- Should have flair for writing donor communication material and funding proposals in a comprehensive language.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in local language and English.
- Good knowledge of fund development strategies

- Willing to travel as and when required
