(Urgent) Full Time Veterinarian – for Bird Breeding and Release Program
 
Begawan Foundation, (BF) is a Bali based NGO focused on environment, health, and education. Currently BF is focused on Bird Breeding and Release Program of Bali Starlings, Mitchell’s Lorikeet, and Wreathed Hornbills.
 
BF is looking for a Full Time Veterinarian with experiences on Avian (Priority), Wild Life, or Exotic Animals. He/she will be working closely with Breeding and Release Manager, BF Administrator, and liaise with Related Government Agencies.
 
This position will be as full time, 1 year contract with possibility of extension.
 
Placement: Begawan Foundation Breeding and Release Center, Badung, Bali
Working Time: 5 days a week, on shift schedule with Manager and Bird Keepers
                 
Benefits: Jamsostek, Health Insurance, THR, and Performance based bonus.                              
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.              Responsible as Assistant to Breeding and Release Manager.
2.              Responsible to build and manage health system in consultation with BF managers.
3.              Perform health checks/ inspection regularly.
4.              Perform inspection and treatment to sick and dead birds.
5.              Assisting with health declarations, reporting and liaise with local authorities.
6.              Assisting with permits to send birds to foreign countries or move birds to other local sites.
7.              Other duties as required
 
Experience and Requirements:
1.              Strong communication and interpersonal skills
2.              Ability to work in rural environment
3.              Having at least 1 year’s professional experience with background from Conservation NGO, breeder, Zoo or related with Birds.
4.              Good command of both English and Bahasa Indonesia and familiar with standard computer software.
5.              Interest and experience in scientific research and project management is an advantage.
6.              Preferably able to drive motorcycle or car
