The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) has engaged Acre to source a dynamic Investment Advisor to join their growing team.
GGGI
is providing technical and capacity building support to governments who
are seeking to capitalise on the potential co-benefits of strong
socioeconomic and environmental processes. They are also supporting them
in gaining better access to public and private finance and technology
to help place their economies in a more sustainable and resilient
development pathway.
The
successful applicant will be based in the Ministry of Energy and
Mineral Resources and report into the Country Director. You will lead a
work stream that will aim to rebalance the risk/ reward profile by
lowering the risk level of investing in green growth sectors alongside
unlocking various investment opportunities, thereby encouraging
investors to move into green sectors.
Responsibilities include:

Leading the work streams on green investments, particularly related to renewable energy, energy efficiency and waste management
-
Supporting the Indonesian government to improve and develop greener technology transfer mechanisms, and support the development of project business cases
-
Identifying and designing the technical assistance, innovative financial public private framework, policy design and implementation support related to investment and technologies
-
Establishing yourself as the key point of contact on all related efforts including public and private sector stakeholder engagement
-
Conducting comparative analysis on the prioritised green technologies in line with the supporting policies and assessing the economic, environmental and social impacts, as well as building business cases
-
Managing external consultants
You
will hold exemplary and relevant academic credentials, ideally
including a postgraduate degree in investment/finance/green
technologies. You will also have a number of years of working experience
including experience of working in Indonesia.
Key competencies include:

Substantial experience in investment, finance and energy
-
A track record of developing and fostering strong relationships with key government institutions
-
A broad and established network across global and Indonesian academic and research institutions, as well as government bodies on climate environment policy and economic development
-
Deep knowledge of low carbon technologies including renewable energy, waste management and energy resource efficiency
-
Fluent written and verbal English and fluency in Indonesian is essential
