Position: Green Technology Advisor
Salary: $Competitive (based on experience)

The
Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) has engaged Acre to source a
knowledgeable and dynamic Technology Advisor to join their growing team.
GGGI
is providing technical and capacity building support to governments
around the world seeking to capitalise on the potential co-benefits of
the strong socioeconomic and environmental process. They are also
supporting them in gaining better access to public and private finance
and technology which can help place their economies in a more
sustainable and resilient development pathway.
The
successful applicant will report into the Country Director and be based
in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. Here, you will work
closely with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Ministry
of Environment, the Ministry of Public Works, the Ministry of Planning
and Development and the Agency for the Assessment and Application of
Technology.
Responsibilities include:

Leading the work streams on green technology, particularly related to renewable energy, energy efficiency and waste management

Supporting the Indonesian government to improve and develop greener technology transfer mechanisms, and support the development of project business cases which will prove these mechanisms
-
Identifying and designing technical assistance, policy design and implementation support, particularly by facilitating knowledge sharing and partnerships between policymakers, institutions and private sectors in Indonesia and in GGGI’s partner countries

Coordinating and managing public and private sector engagement, and international knowledge sharing

Conducting comparative analysis over the prioritised green technologies that are in line with the supporting policies, assessing the economic, environmental and social impacts, as well as building business cases

Managing external consultants
You
will hold exemplary and relevant academic credentials, ideally
including a postgraduate degree in engineering, renewable energy or
related to environment and/or energy. You will also have a number of
years of working experience including experience of working in
Indonesia.
Key competencies include:

A track record of developing and fostering strong relationships with key government institutions

A broad and established network across global and Indonesian academic and research institutions, as well as government bodies on climate environment policy and economic development

Exceptional synthesis? and strategic thinking skills, in low carbon technologies including renewable energy, waste management and energy resource efficiency

Fluent written and verbal English and fluency in Indonesian is essential
