SurfAid International is a non profit organization working for healthy and resilient
communities in remote areas connected to us through surfing. With the head
office in Medan, the community programs are mainly run in Mentawai and
Nias. In 2013 SurfAid is expanding its program to eastern Indonesia,
starting with a small team in Bima.
SurfAid will
have team building and
training event in the second week of December 2013 in Medan area. For the
event, we are looking for trainers (individuals or teams) for internal capacity
building program. Subjects / topics of the
trainings are:
Team management
(2 days) with specific focus on distance management –TM
Internal
customer service (2 days) -CS
Working with
communities (2 days) - CW
Story telling as
a tool for behavior change (1/2 day)
- ST
Writing human
interest stories for beginners (1/2 day)-
HI
Low tech, high
impact Video shooting (1 day)- VS
Note :
Training 1-2-3 are running in parallel.
Training 4-6 and 5-6 are running in parallel.
Trainers should
have experience in doing the similar topics, preferably for community/field workers. As much as possible, all
subjects use creative adult action learning
approach and active collaboration on content
(minimum focus on power point/hand out use but more on discussions and practice
experiences).
