Save the Children Job Vacancy: SR. Livelihood Officer - Emergency Response, Bener Meriah

Save the Children will develop local capacity in Bener meriah and Aceh Tengah district to cover 4 sub district services to children and their mothers

The program will strengthen and improve the quality of Health, Education and Livelihood and initiate new services i villages where they do not exist in new area. Emergency Program also work to build the capacity of existing kindergartens, health and Nutrition, livelihood strengthening coffee farmers house holds through such interventions, Save the Children can help children to reach their full potentials and ultimately strengthen the communities in which they live.

Now, we are seeking some positions of: SR. LIVELIHOOD OFFICER – Emergency Response (code: SLO-ER), Bener Meriah, 1 position

Job Responsibilities:
  • Strategic steps in strengthening value chain of coffee from pre - post harvest, and marketing, so coffee farmers could get additional value designed.
  • Strategic steps in introducing crop diversification, home gardens, fisheries and livestock for consumption and income generation designed.
  • Appropriate women-led managed micro-finance programmes to support livelihood and business development established. This will include developing a human resource plan including recruitment, development and training to meet the requirements and needs of the programme implementation plan.
  • Ensuring that appropriate systems and methodologies for beneficiary accountability are in place including programme monitoring tools and formats, and compliant mechanism
  • Partnerships with organisation, training institutions for training around small business development, micro-credit, financial planning etc and on inclusive approaches identified.
  • Development of the livelihoods team providing leadership, management, training and capacity building as necessary.
  • Ensuring the approaches and lessons learning for development of coffee growers livelihood documented.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential
  • At least 10 years work experience in managing Agriculture/Livelihood and Community Mobilization projects.
  • Bachelor University Degree or higher, preferably in Agriculture, Livelihood, or other relevant discipline. Or equivalent practical experiences in program implementation.
  • Solid communication skills with different level of agriculture stakeholder, namely farmers, extension workers, traders, etc.
Desirable
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven skills to develop an implementation plan and then efficiently implement activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to write high quality reports and other project document in Indonesian and English.
  • Computer literate.
