Conservation International, an international non - governmental organization, is looking for a MONITORING AND EVALUATIONS CONSULTANT for SLP Program based in Jakarta.

Key Aims:
To provide a review and where necessary develop systems and refine mechanisms in place to capture and measure progress against Sustainable Landscape Partnership (SLP) Program deliverables.
Key Tasks:
The M&E Consultant will:
- Review key SLP documents as a basis for understanding and reviewing the PMP and establishing M&E systems;
- Work together with SLP technical teams where necessary to gain the necessary information;
- The consultant will review the current SLP PMP ensuring that it is aligned with the Year 3 Work plan;
- Develop approaches from which to measure and monitor performance from years 3 through 5 for key SLP strategic objectives and deliverables;
- The consultant will review and where necessary refine the methodology and approaches so as to ensure progress against results can be measured and tracked on quarterly basis;
- The consultant will consider that the SLP end – targets which may be modified via a contract modification and will build in approaches accordingly;
- The consultant will identify and provide technical recommendations that will support the capture and measurement of progress against SLP strategic objectives and indicators (reduced GHG, improved NRM and improved livelihoods);
- The consultant will review and then develop a specific SLP M&E work plan, proposed time-line for deliverable and anticipated budget.
- SLP PMP has been reviewed and is aligned with Years 3 work plan;
- Approaches and methodologies to support SLP M&E requirements have been developed which are clear, effective and will ensure performance monitoring requirements will be met;
- Identify and provide M&E technical recommendations and interventions to support SLP aims and objectives;
- SLP PMP and proposed M&E systems will allow SLP to track performance against key strategic objectives and sub-indicators;
- SLP PMP has been reviewed, finalized and submitted to AID;
Minimum Requirement:
- Master’s degree and/or at least 5 years working experience in monitoring and evaluation.
- Experience with building capacity building in technical applications of M&E for program staff and stakeholders;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong technical command of rubber sector,
- Strong ability to manage group process and dynamics
- Good command of English (speaking, reading and writing)
- Ability to write detailed reports, work plans and budgets
- Knowledge/understanding of local cultural setting.
- Passionate with field works and able to meet project deadlines often under difficult circumstances
