2. Main outputs
- Effective administrative and financial management systems in place and operational across the FZS Indonesia Programme
- Legal obligations in Indonesia met for the FZS as an entity and its staff
- Analysis of FZS Indonesia Programme financial processes and working schemes provided to FZS Indonesia Programme management in order to support decision-making
- Support to outpost projects on system implementation provided
- Contractual commitments with donors fulfilled
- Support to Project Managers and outpost projects on donor contract development and financial management provided
- Effective and motivated staff in the Finance and Administration Department

- To contribute to the development of the FZS Indonesia Programme, particularly business planning
- Lead the annual FZS Indonesia Programme budget preparations
- Analyse the ongoing financial situation and ensure the flow of financial information to the HoA, Project Leaders and FZS HQ
- Control, manage and ensure a timely flow of funds from HQ to Indonesia and field projects
- Ensure accurate financial reporting, effective administration procedures and internal control and compliance with national fiscal and legal regulations
- Ensure that FZS Indonesia Management and project leaders are informed when budgets of any particular project are in danger of being overspent
- Oversee timely report preparation and submission by Programme Accountant to the Programme Management, Project Leaders, and FZS HQ
- Support FZS Indonesia Programme Management in the implementation of administrative and financial systems
- Oversee financial reporting to third party donors according to their contracts
- Oversee management of FZS Indonesia Programme assets and infrastructure
- Ensure the FA department supports and advises on equipment purchase and infrastructure development across the FZS Indonesia Programme where relevant
- Lead and manage the human resources of the FZS Indonesia Finance and Administration Department, including recruitment, job planning, staff performance reviews and appraisals, general staff administration and staff development

5. Job requirements
- Qualifications and experience - required
- Working towards or gained a professional accounting qualification such as:
- Association of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) or
- Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or
- Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA) or
- Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA)
- Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT)
- International Association of Book-keepers (IAB)
- 5 Year’s middle or senior financial management in the commercial or not-for-profit sector
- Management consulting experience or experience designing and implementing new management systems (e.g. financial, human resource and/or administrative) in an organisation
- Exceptional interpersonal and written, verbal and listening communication skills (excellent written and verbal skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia)
- Proven understanding that the role of administration and financial departments is to provide a support service for the delivery of effective management (in this case conservation management and outcomes)
- Commitment to providing high-quality, accurate and timely information
- Ability to both think strategically and provide manage detail on a daily basis to ensure operational excellence
- Experience of preparing and conducting audits
- Proven experience in Human Resource Management
- Knowledge of electronic/online banking and Microsoft Office with MS-Excel to an advanced level
- Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure
- Able to work effectively with non-financially trained professionals
- Knowledge of Indonesian law, particularly labour, tax, NGO and environmental law
- Willingness to live and work in Jambi, Sumatra
- Ability to travel to project areas in Sumatra, often travelling and living under basic conditions in remote areas
