The Opportunity:
We
are currently recruiting a highly talented and motivated Women’s
Economic Empowerment Manager to grow and oversee our Tech Agent
technology distribution network. Tech Agents are local women
entrepreneurs that sell life-changing technologies, such as water
filters, cookstoves and solar lights within their communities, earning a
commission from each sale. Kopernik provides technologies on
consignment to Tech Agents and provides a suite of training and support
to help them succeed.
Position overview:
As
Women’s Economic Empowerment Manager you will grow the Tech Agent
program across Indonesia. You will develop the systems necessary to
scale across Indonesia. You will get your hands dirty and spend a lot of
time in the field.
Specific responsibilities:
- Develop strategies for Tech Agent recruitment and retention, incentives, reward and recognition schemes, marketing, training, location, product mix and pricing.
- Expand and manage a national network of Tech Agents in Indonesia.
- Recruit and manage hundreds of Tech Agents across Indonesia.
- Recruit, mentor, motivate and train new and existing field staff and ensure they are supported to achieve success.
- Contribute to Kopernik strategy as a key member of the core management team.
- Generate and pilot innovative tests and promotions that have the opportunity for significant impact.
- Develop innovative distribution models.
- Optimize the use of the mobile communications platform to drive distribution, deepen social impact, reduce costs, and increase financial sustainability.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in Indonesian and English.
- Hard working, motivated, and passionate about social impact.
- Extensive experience in women’s economic empowerment programs.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and professional maturity; ability to work independently, think creatively, learn quickly.
- Experience working with women in remote, rural communities.
- At least 10 years professional experience.
- Experience recruiting, managing and motivating large teams.
- This position is based out of our office in Ubud, Bali. 50% in-country travel is expected.
