seeks qualified Indonesian specialists for the USAID Higher Education
Leadership and Management (HELM) project in Indonesia. HELM aims to improve the
academic performance of Indonesia’s higher education sector through analytical
support for strategic planning, policy analysis, and capacity development
approaches for effective implementation of key reforms throughout Indonesia’s
higher education sector. We are looking for an individual who have a passion
for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
The Communications Manager is
responsible for leading the HELM communication team. S/he will take primary
responsibility for the program reporting (quarterly and annual reports, success
stories, and other reports and documents) and ensure all other tasks are
delegated appropriately to the team. The communication manager will be
responsible for the overall quality and timeliness of communication products,
ensuring tasks are completed well and finished on time. The communication
manager will ensure that all HELM materials are produced are in compliance with
USAID rules and regulations and meet the high standard of quality expected by
HELM and Chemonics so the products meet overall project objectives and are
responsive to USAID.
This is a supervisory position. The
Communications Manager will coordinate all tasks within the communication team and
will serve as the primary communication contact for USAID and DIKTI media
relations as well as for the higher education donor community.
As teamwork is crucial to the success of the project, the
Communications Manager will coordinate all communication work with technical and
operations staff, as per direction from the Program Coordinator (PC) and the
Chief of Party (COP).
Eligibility
criteria:

Masters degree in communications or related
field required.
·
Minimum Five years of
experience working on USAID funded program as a communication specialist
required.
·
Supervision experience
within the domain of communications required.
·
Proof of highly developed English communication
skills both written and verbal required.
·
Excellent skills in document writing, formatting
and editing required.
·
Experience identifying
and writing success stories, newsletters, press releases, etc. required.
·
Familiarity with Indonesian higher education
system preferred.
·
Must be organized, detail oriented,
self-motivated, and able to work well on teams.
·
Must be interested in working with a
multi-cultural, international team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
