seeks qualified Indonesian specialists for the USAID Higher Education
Leadership and Management (HELM) project in Indonesia. HELM aims to improve the
academic performance of Indonesia’s higher education sector through analytical
support for strategic planning, policy analysis, and capacity development
approaches for effective implementation of key reforms throughout Indonesia’s
higher education sector. We are looking for an individual who have a passion
for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
The communication team responsibilities are divided among
three positions: Communications Manager, Communications/Digital Media
Associate, and Communications Outreach Associate. The team is expected to work
together to complete tasks in a timely manner, under guidance and supervision from
the Communication Manager. The Communications Outreach Associate will take
responsibility for daily upkeep and maintenance of the HELM learning portal as
well as other digital media support, and will be responsible to ensure correct
templates and formatting of all HELM products while the Communication Outreach
Associate will work to expand HELM outreach to (and between) HEI partners.
This is not a supervisory
position. The Communications Outreach Associate will support
HELM
communication products and activities in close collaboration with other communications team, as
well as with the capacity building team and the core technical team. As
teamwork is crucial to the success of the project, the Communications team will
coordinate all communication work with technical and operations staff, as per
direction from the Communications Manager, the Program Coordinator
(PC) and the Chief of Party (COP).
Eligibility
criteria:

Bachelor degree in communications or related
field required.
·
Minimum three years of
experience working on USAID funded program as a communications specialist
required.
·
Knowledge and expertise in group and public facilitation is a plus.
·
Proof of highly developed English communication
skills both written and verbal required.
·
Excellent skills in document writing, formatting
and editing required.
·
Experience identifying
and writing success stories, newsletters, press releases, etc. required. Familiarity
with Indonesian higher education system preferred.
·
Must be organized, detail oriented,
self-motivated, and able to work well on teams.
·
Must be interested in working with a
multi-cultural, international team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
