Chemonics International Inc., a leading international consulting firm,
seeks to fill the following long-term, full-time positions for a project
funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the
Higher Education Leadership and Management (HELM) Project.
*COMMUNICATIONS AND OUTREACH SPECIALIST*
*Principle duties and Responsibilities:
*The Communications and Outreach Specialist is responsible for leading
implementation of HELM’s communications programs and managing the
production of materials to facilitate the project in meeting its overall
objectives. The Communications and Outreach Specialist will work closely
with project technical staff as well as USAID and DIKTI to support outreach
to members of the higher education community, develop and implement a
communications strategy and outreach plan, produce project success stories,
and ensure timely project reporting as well as take primary responsibility
for marking and branding.
The Communications and Outreach Specialist will report directly to the
Program Coordinator. She will prepare regular oral and written progress
reports that demonstrate the status of project communications and
activities, as well as other reports as required.
As teamwork is crucial to the success of the project, the Communications
and Outreach Specialist will coordinate work with other technical,
managerial and administrative HELM staff, as per direction from the Chief
of Party.
*Requirements:*
· Five years of experience working on a donor funded program as a
communication specialist required;
· Proof of highly developed English communication skills both
written and verbal required;
· Excellent skills in document formatting and editing required;
· Experienced in identifying and writing success stories, news
items, media releases, etc. required;
· Supervisory experience a plus.
*Qualifications:*
· Bachelor degree (B.A./B.S.) in relevant field required; Master's
degree preferred;
· Minimum five years of relevant experience, experience with USAID
programs preferred;
· Prior experience in one or more of the specific areas outlined
above required;
· Experience working with international development or
international organizations preferred;
· Demonstrated interest in working with a multi-cultural,
international team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment;
· Strong attention to detail, organizational and prioritization
skills;
· Ability to work both independently and in a team;
· Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and
Bahasa Indonesia.
