Indonesia Foundation (SIF) is a locally registered organization having
an association with Swisscontact. SIF core working areas include
business development,
access to finance, micro finance, environmental management, value chain
development and local economic development.

Senior Project Officer
for
Project: Smoke Free Jakarta (SFJ) - Strengthening the Smoke Free Legislation and Enforcement in Jakarta

Project Background
The
goal of the project is to save the lives of people in Jakarta from
the danger of secondhand smoke. The project purpose is that the
smoke-free legislation is effectively enforced resulting in reduced
public exposure to secondhand smoke.
The key activities of the projects are:
- Support the government in drafting tobacco control legislations
- Continue strengthening enforcement of current regulation
- Maintain public support in policy adoption and enforcement
- Improve monitoring and evaluation system
- Support the civil society in policy advocacy
- Conduct monitoring to measure impact
General summary of duties
and responsibilities
The
employee shall assist and reports to the Executive Director (ED) of
Swisscontact
Indonesia Foundation (SIF), and is responsible for the successful
implementation of the project and several additional tasks assigned to
him/her, including tasks related to project implementation,
administration, monitoring and evaluation, and partners relations.
General
tasks and responsibilities
- Be responsible for overall implementation of SFJ toward SIF and partners
- Work together with the stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved
- Communicate the project to stakeholders and partners
Specific responsibilities
Project Specific:
- Develop and implement project activity plan with reference to the approved Work Plan and Budget
- In case of changes of plan and budget, communicate to the SIF ED and obtain approval prior to execution
- Measure, evaluate, and report progress made compared to the plan
- Coordinate and manage activities conducted by the project team members
- Manage and control budget
- Prepare project implementation reports in accordance with the donor requirements
- Address and solve problems arising as a result of implementation of the project
- Organize project scheduled team meeting to discuss progress and issues
- Conduct quality control of documents prior to submission to related parties
Activity Specific:
- Be responsible in planning and implementation of project monitoring and evaluation including public polling, development of analysis and presentation of inspection and enforcement data for public communication, factsheets, press releases
Minimum Requirements
- University degree in engineering, economics, science
- Excellent report writing and verbal communication in English and Bahasa Indonesia
- High degree of self-motivation, commitment to achieve results, and integrity
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Team-work oriented and ability to successfully work within a team
- Posses analytical thinking
- Flexibility for working and travelling according to project needs
- Knowledge and working experience in public health, tobacco control and public policy development would be an additional asset
- Computer literacy, including the use of office software
