The Opportunity:
We
are currently recruiting a highly talented and motivated Field Officer
(various locations) to work in one of our field locations to grow our
Tech Agent and Tech Kiosk technology distribution networks. Tech Kiosks
are existing small rural retail stores (warung) that sell life-changing
technology within their communities and Tech Agents are local women
entrepreneurs that sell technologies door to door. Kopernik provides
technologies on consignment to Tech Kiosk operators and Tech Agents and
provides a suite of training and support to help Tech Kiosk operators
and Tech Agents succeed.
Position overview:
- Identify and manage Tech Agents and Tech Kiosks in a project location.
- Work with Kopernik team to set up and Tech Agent and Tech Kiosk programs.
- Conduct Technology Fairs to introduce new life-changing technologies to communities.
- Facilitate training for local partners, communities, Tech Kiosk operators and Tech Agents on entrepreneurship skills, product knowledge, inventory management, finance, marketing and basic computer skills.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with local governments, local partners, community leaders, community members, media and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Indonesian and English language skills.
- Positive attitude, hard working, reliable, motivated, and passionate about social impact.
- At least 4 years work experience. Prior experience working with rural communities essential. Experience working on microfinance or livelihood programs preferred.
- Ability to perform to a high level under limited supervision.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Fully computer literate.
- Willingess to live, work and travel within rural villages.
- Can ride a motorcycle in off-road conditions and posseses valid drivers licence (SIM C).
- This position is based in one of Kopernik’s project locations (North Sumatera, Alor, East Flores) with occasional travel to Bali.
