Deputy Regional Program Manager
The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is a global organization committed to strengthening integrated health systems around the world and expanding access to care and treatment for HIV/AIDS and other illnesses.
Position Description:
The Deputy Regional Program Manager (DPRM) will work with the Country Director, Deputy Country Director, Senior Advisor and Regional Program Manager (RPM) to develop, plan, and implement the Rapidly Expanding Access to Care for HIV (REACH) Program in Tanah Papua. The DPRM will assist the RPM in the overall management of the REACH Program, represent the program in the absence of the RPM and, with the RPM, have oversight for the program. The DRPM will work with the senior management to achieve the program’s objectives, forge strong relations with government and other partners and be a force for change in the delivery of patient-focused HIV-related services. An effective DPRM will model a strong work ethic and mentor the development of junior employees. A flexible management style will allow a DPRM to engage in details where needed, fill program management staffing gaps, and ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
Location: Two DPRM positions are available: one based in Papua, one based in West Papua

Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in public sector or private enterprise, with increasing levels of responsibility and leadership including personnel management, project management
- Experience in working with HIV/AIDS or public health programs required
- Experience in dealing with Government, bi-lateral and multi-lateral organizations required
- Experience working in resource-limited settings required
- Experience living and working in Papua or West Papua preferred
Education:
Medical Degree or advanced degree in related field preferably in Public Health or Business Administration with health focus Or a Management degree with experience on Program Management
