Founded in 1987, RutgersWPF is aimed at improving reproductive health and ensuring reproductive rights in developing countries. RutgersWPF has implemented projects in Asia, Africa and Latin America. In 2005, RutgersWPFIndonesia established a field office in Jakarta, Indonesia in order to more effectively manage and expand its current portfolio. RutgersWPF’s Country Strategy in Indonesia focuses on improving sexuality and reproductive health services and information for young people and decreasing gender based
violence.
RutgersWPF Indonesia manages program of Adult Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (ASRHR) and Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) programs in various provinces in Indonesia. In cooperation with various local NGO partners, this program aims (1) to provide ASRHR services for young people such as adequate information on ASRHR issues, including enhancing capacity buildingfor teachers and parents; (2) to provide intervention program to prevent gender based violence with local NGO partners, and (3) to mobilize advocacy program to influence decision makers to support SRHR education and SGBV programs and provide adequate budget for that.RutgersWPF and partners established Aliansi Satu Visi to enhance partners capacity and strengthening SRHR network.
Due to this project development, we are now seeking outstanding candidate talents to fill the following positions at our Jakarta Office:
PROGRAM OFFICER (Code PO)
Task and Responsibilities
The PO will be responsible to provide technical assistance in coordinating and implementing the programs,represent the organization,management, evaluation, and promotes networking with program stakeholders. S/he requires extensive networking with partners as well as interacting with individuals and groups at community levels. Program Officer has proven experience and commitment of working with local stakeholder both in rural and remote areas. S/he must also be able to travel regularly to the projecta areas. Program Officer will play a support and coordination role for partner organization implementing RutgersWPF Indonesia’s programs.

The detail tasks of Project Managerare as the following:
Core Tasks:
- Support Program Managers’s activity in the field.
- Develops contracts for partners for every contract accepted and formulates recommendations for funding. Ensure that contract are coherent and accurate, and that all required information is provided.
- Draft timely planning schedules (three months) of activities in collaboration with partners.
- Draft timely budgets attached to the planning schedule. Make sure the availability and balance of budget during programs implemented.
- Collecting and updating data of Program Managers needed countinously, verify field data for Program Managers needed.
- Draft activity plans and reports prior to and after implementationf or submission to partners.
- Monitor the quality of training and coordinates the trainer’s network.
- Collect activity reports and financial updates from partners.
- Performs others duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A minimum 5years experiences in managing development programs, preferably with international NGOs, and in the areas of Sexuality, Reproductive Health andGender; experience in Youth Health Issues would be an advantage.
- University Degree level, related discipline would be an advantage.
- Computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet.
- Critical thingking skills; a sense of teamwork and community.
- Willing to travel.
- Fluency in English and Indonesia both oral and written.
- Work independently on his/her own initiative without direct supervision.
- Communicate effectively and transparently on all levels
- Strong engagement and motivational skills for work with partners and volunteers.
