Job duties and responsibilities
Petty Cash Holder
- Ensure Petty Cash funds are maintained properly and adequately safeguarded.
- Ensure Petty cash funds are properly used in accordance with establish American Red Cross guidelines and best practices.
- Ensure an accurate Cash Count is performed, reconciled and signed off by relevant authority.
- Prepare the Journal Voucher and signed of by relevant authority.
- Input the online banking transaction based on approved Disbursement Voucher.
- Input the approved Journal Voucher to Quickbooks / Accounting System on daily basis.
- Assist Finance Manager to ensure bank balances are enough to cover bank transaction.
- Stamp the Vouchers, Invoices and Expense Reports after paid
- Scan the finance documents regularly and file them temporary in the filling cabinet.
- Together with other finance staff, coordinate with Archiving Company for archive the finance document regularly.
Hold Degrees in Accounting/Management/Finance
Experience
- Experience of working for the Red Cross / Red Crescent is preferably 2 years work experience in a finance or accounting role
- Experience of good financial management i.e : cash flow and expense report
- Familiar with accounting software, i.e : Quickbooks
- Familiarity with Red Cross and US Government regulations is desirable
- Very good understanding of general accounting principles and practices, audit processes, and internal control systems
- Precise and analytical worker
- Flexible and able to manage problems on his/her own
- Detail, systematic, neat and hardworking
