The Fresno Chaffee Zoo Wildlife Conservation Fund makes grants for wildlife conservation and research that focuses on rare, threatened, and endangered animals and their habitats. The priority is for in situ conservation projects. Most grants range from US$1 thousand to US$2 thousand. The principal investigator must be associated with a recognized institution. The application deadline is 01 June 2013. Link

Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium -- Grants for Conservation and Sustainability. The Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium (USA) awards grants from US$1 thousand to US$3 thousand for a variety of projects, emphasizing field studies and cross-disciplinary approaches to conservation. There are no restrictions by nationality or geographical region. The Fund has supported projects in 40 countries and two oceans. The application period is 15 August 2013 through 20 October 2013. Link  

0Prince Bernhard Nature Fund -- Projects to Conserve Flora and Fauna. The Prince Bernhard Nature Fund (Netherlands) aims to help save critically endangered flora and fauna in tropical and subtropical regions of Africa, Asia, and Latin America. It gives funding preference to organizations in these regions, sometimes in partnership with parties in Europe or North America. Grants are up to €25 thousand. The application deadlines are 01 April and 01 October each year. Link
